Feeling Old

I have been feeling old lately.

Not the old I always imagined for myself; Iris Apfel in too many colors and patterns, fabulous in oversized glasses walking the streets of New York in wide legged linen palazzo pants.

Tired old.

This week I have had a deep sense of inadequacy.

External validation is a bitch ya’ll.

I’ve had two brushes with my mortality that were too close for comfort.

Well three actually, but I was too young in the 23 car pile up to clock how the experience would transform me.
